Everything you wanted to know about Jason Tang
(And probably much that you don't want to know.)
Origins
I was born on the thirtieth of March, 1978, in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. I spent thirteen years slaving away in the Pittsburgh Public
Schools, eventually culminated into a diploma from Carrick High School.
Those first eighteen years of my life were more or less uneventful.
The College Years
I currently attend the Georgia Institute
of Technologry, Georgia Tech or just plain Tech
for short. I am pursuing a bachelor's of science degree in Computer Science, with an emphasis
in Artificial Intelligence. Rumor has it that I am also obtaining
an undergraduate degree in Psychology.
Work
I also work a part-time. See my resume
for details.
The Habitat
Currently I reside in Woodruff South,
up in room 214a. Here are pictures of my desk from the past: freshman year and sophomore year.
Computer Interests
Like all good CS geeks, I've shed the fetters of Microsoft and turn
towards Linus Torvalds for
guidance. As everyone ought to know, Linus initially wrote the Linux operating system. Linux is a
free Unix-like operating system that has incredible support for
networks. I would encourage everyone to at least take a look at it.
I personally run a server--lamut.jtang.org. My workstation is
named krondor.jtang.org. The laptop is
sarth.jtang.org, while another workstation is
cavall.jtang.org. Note the rather blatant naming scheme. Can
you tell I'm a major Raymond
Feist fan?
Other Interests
Find me at the Presbyterian Center
on campus.
Are You Stalking Me?
If so, then you'll need a picture of me. Well, you're just in luck! I
have two available: an older scan of my
driver's license and a scan of my old
Tech student ID.
